I find myself painting, drawing, and pasting–what I am unable to say with words. Speaking through the language of art, narratives within papers and paints, concerning works of nature —earthly and spiritual–and the universal energies that connect all. -morri
My name is “Morri” (aka Susan Morrison Sims). I work in mixed media and collage, but I consider myself primarily a painter. I have been described as a post-impressionist – expressionist due to my love of vibrant colors, emotional brushstrokes, and symbolism within my work.
I live and maintain a studio / gallery on a secluded river island…Drayton Island. I share my world here with my husband John and Cassie, our Blue Heeler pup. Drayton Island is located in the St John’s River (Florida, US) and is only accessible by boat or a small ferry.
My work is in public, corporate, and private collections in the US and abroad, and I have participated in group and solo exhibitions in the US and abroad.
